Tim Grieves preached this sermon on July 14, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sermon Outline:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In our lives and ministry, we could be <strong>losing sight of God<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We could be blinded by <strong>efficiency<\/strong> over God&#8217;s <strong>priorities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We could be blinded by <strong>comfort<\/strong> over God&#8217;s <strong>purposes<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We could be blinded by <strong>heritage<\/strong> over God&#8217;s <strong>presence<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Scripture Passage:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>John 2:13-25 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>13&nbsp;<\/sup>The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus&nbsp;went up to Jerusalem.&nbsp;<sup>14&nbsp;<\/sup>In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers sitting there.&nbsp;<sup>15&nbsp;<\/sup>And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables.&nbsp;<sup>16&nbsp;<\/sup>And he told those who sold the pigeons,&nbsp;\u201cTake these things away; do not make&nbsp;my Father&#8217;s house a house of trade.\u201d<sup>17&nbsp;<\/sup>His disciples remembered that it was written,&nbsp;\u201cZeal for your house will consume me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>18&nbsp;<\/sup>So the Jews said to him,&nbsp;\u201cWhat sign do you show us for doing these things?\u201d&nbsp;<sup>19&nbsp;<\/sup>Jesus answered them,&nbsp;\u201cDestroy this temple, and in three days&nbsp;I will raise it up.\u201d&nbsp;<sup>20&nbsp;<\/sup>The Jews then said, \u201cIt has taken forty-six years to build this temple,&nbsp;and will you raise it up in three days?\u201d&nbsp;<sup>21&nbsp;<\/sup>But he was speaking about&nbsp;the temple of his body.&nbsp;<sup>22&nbsp;<\/sup>When therefore he was raised from the dead,&nbsp;his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed&nbsp;the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>23&nbsp;<\/sup>Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in his name&nbsp;when they saw the signs that he was doing.&nbsp;<sup>24&nbsp;<\/sup>But Jesus&nbsp;on his part did not entrust himself to them, because&nbsp;he knew all people<sup>25&nbsp;<\/sup>and
